Terms of Service
1. Agreement to these Terms
By creating an account or using Proper Study (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Proper Study is an AI-powered study companion for Indian students. It provides doubt-solving (text and image), summaries, practice questions, quizzes, revision planning, marks estimates and focus tools. The Service is intended strictly for study, exam preparation and academic research; our AI is configured to refuse questions outside this purpose.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf and supervises your use of the Service.
4. Accounts & security
- You log in with a one-time code sent to your email or via your Google account.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your email/Google account secure. Anyone with access to your inbox can access your Proper Study account, so protect it.
- One account per person. Do not share paid accounts.
5. Plans, payments & taxes
- Free plan: limited daily usage (currently 30 questions/day).
- Paid plans: Pro at ₹19/week, plus monthly and yearly options. Limits for each plan are shown in the app.
- Payments are processed securely by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). We never store your card details.
- Prices are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We will notify you before any price change affects you.
6. Cancellation & refunds
- You may cancel anytime from the app or by emailing support@sitescanpro.in. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- 7-day money-back guarantee on your first Pro purchase — email us within 7 days for a full refund, no questions asked.
- After that, unused time in a billing period is not refundable, except where required by law.
7. Fair usage & limits
Each plan includes usage limits to keep the Service fast for everyone (e.g., Free: 30/day; Weekly: 350/week; Monthly: 1,200/month; Yearly: unlimited). Attempts to bypass limits or automate usage may result in throttling or suspension.
8. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service during any examination, or to cheat, plagiarise or obtain leaked papers.
- Request illegal, harmful or non-study content, or try to bypass the study-only safeguards.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, resell or abuse the Service or its AI models.
- Upload content you have no right to share.
9. AI disclaimer
Answers, summaries and marks estimates are generated by AI and may contain errors. They are study aids, not a substitute for teachers, textbooks or official exam authorities. Always verify important facts. Marks estimates are rough indications only and are not a guarantee of results.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, branding and software belong to SiteScanPro. You keep all rights to the content you submit; you grant us only the limited licence needed to process it to provide the Service.
11. Third-party services
Payments (Razorpay), authentication (Google/Supabase) and hosting (Netlify) are provided by third parties under their own terms. Their availability may affect the Service.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or pose a security risk. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, exam outcomes or loss of data caused by factors beyond our reasonable control.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Your City], [State], India.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the new Terms.
